About Us

What Shingle Siren Stands For

Shingle Siren is built on a simple belief: homeowners deserve clear answers, dependable work, and a contractor who cares about the outcome.

Integrity means being honest about what we find and recommending work based on what your home needs. We document concerns, explain your options, and follow through on what we say we’ll do.

Growth means we keep learning and improving. Every project is an opportunity to sharpen our process, strengthen our team, and serve homeowners better.

Customer service means you’re treated like a person, not a job number. We make room for your questions, communicate throughout the project, and work to make a stressful situation feel manageable.

From the first inspection to the final walk through, these values guide how Shingle Siren shows up for you and your home.

Our Story

The Story Behind Shingle Siren

Shingle Siren began with a decision to build the kind of roofing company I would want to call for my own home.

When I entered the roofing industry, I saw how much a damaged roof could disrupt a homeowner’s life. A leak or a storm could leave someone facing unfamiliar terms, conflicting advice, and decisions that felt urgent and expensive. I also saw how much difference it made when someone slowed down, listened, and explained what was actually happening.

Before roofing, I was a teacher. Helping people understand something new has always mattered to me. I brought that same approach to roof inspections: show homeowners what I see, explain their options in plain language, and give them room to make an informed decision.

I founded Shingle Siren to put that approach at the center of the company. The name is bold, but the promise behind it is straightforward: pay attention, speak honestly, keep learning, and care about the people who trust us with their homes.

I’m proud of what we’re building, one homeowner and one project at a time.

Our Founder

Meet Symantha, the Shingle Siren

Hi, I’m Symantha Spencer, founder of Shingle Siren. I started this company because homeowners deserve someone who will listen, explain what they find, and treat their home with care.

Before roofing, I was a teacher. That experience still shapes how I work. I know how frustrating it is to be handed a report full of terms you don’t understand and be expected to make a big decision. When I inspect a roof, I take the time to show you what I see, answer your questions, and talk through your options.

Why I started Shingle Siren

A roof problem can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re dealing with a leak, storm damage, or an insurance claim. I created Shingle Siren to make that process easier to navigate.

My job is to pay attention to the details, document concerns clearly, and help you understand what your home needs. Sometimes that means a repair. Sometimes it means planning for a replacement. Either way, you’ll get an honest conversation about what I found and what comes next.

More than a roof

Shingle Siren helps homeowners with roof inspections, repairs, and replacements, along with exterior projects such as gutters and siding. I work with homeowners across the Dayton area and surrounding Ohio communities.

I’m proud to build a business where you can reach a real person, ask questions freely, and feel confident about the work being done on your home.
