New Project Checklist

A Few Things Before Your Project Begins

Prior to Your Roof Replacement

  • Protect Your Things

During your roof replacement, it's important to ensure a smooth process by moving certain items away from the property.

Please relocate any outdoor furniture, potted plants, and decorations to avoid damage.

  • Move Vehicles

Vehicles should be moved out of the driveway and out of garages, preferably the night before your project begins. This allows the dumpster to be placed near the home in the driveway. It will also prevent damage during the tear-off process.

  • Open Gates

Unlock and open gates to the yard before the crew arrives to allow them full access around the property during the project.

  • Mow Grass

Try to have the grass mowed a day or two before the build. This makes clean-up smoother and allows the crew to run the magnet more efficiently.

  • Protect Your Pets
  • Turn Off Sprinklers

If you have an irrigation system, please shut it off for the duration of the project.

  • Clear loose items from walls

Photos and loose objects on the walls can be knocked down due to vibrations from the roof. Please also ensure any objects that could be easily damaged throughout the home that are irreplaceable are also protected during the project.

  • We will be there early-and it's loud...

We don't want to leave your roof exposed, so we take full advantage of the day. We arrive early. Usually as the sun rises. We can be there as late as the sun sets. We are removing an entire roof system, it can be very loud! We will even help warn your neighbors for you.

Please ensure that your pets, whether inside or outside, are kept indoors boarded on the day of installation. If your pets require bathroom breaks during the day, inform us in advance so we can ensure the safety of everyone involved.

  • Outside Outlet Usage

We will please need use of your outside outlet. Please let us know if one is unavailable so we can make other arrangements.

  • Treasure in the Attic?

I get it. Mermaid. I LOVE TREASURE. If you have an attic, we suggest covering items of value with a tarp. Shingle granules or loose nails may fall between roof sheathing cracks.

  • Take Caution

This will become an active construction site. We urge homeowners to take caution during the build. If you go outside, please wear closed-toe shoes.

  • Rain, Rain Go Away...

If the forecast indicates a 20% chance of rain or higher, we'll need to reschedule. We strive to stick to our project timelines, but we must the safety of your property and take precautions against the weather.

Thank you for understanding.
